This thread is pretty pathetic.

When people talk about Calzaghe on here it is cringe worthy. You got some fans who hark on about how he is the best thing since sliced bread. Then you have those who are possibly worse then the fans of Calzaghe who spout this rubbish out and keep on about him being a 'joke' and that he 'slaps'.

Calzaghe isn't the greatest but the fact he has remained unbeaten and a champion for a long time deserves respect.

I am confused by the thread poster.

Firstly, who does look good against Hopkins?

Secondly, Mikkel Kessler, Jeff Lacy, Bernard Hopkins, Charles Brewer, Robin Reid, Byron Mitchell and Chris Eubank were all world champions / former world champions. If Calzaghe a) can't box and b) slaps and has no power.... then how come ALL of these didn't KO him? Infact, how come he hasn't even lost!?

If he beats RJJ, your reasoning will be because RJJ was too old, won't it? And then it'll be Calzaghe's going to lose to (insert name), same as it was for Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins and now Jones...

I was rooting and pulling for Bernard the whole fight, but in reality, he just got outworked, and he lost the fight... it was close but quite decisive.
