    The Peterson brothers

Am I the only one sick of Lamont and Anthony Peterson? I've been watchin these guys forever, yet they have yet to take on anyone worth watching. Yes, I know they're both very young, but they've had very televised careers and they seem to be getting nowhere. I was wondering, if you had the power to choose their next fights, who would you choose for them?

Lamont Peterson, the older brother, is sitting in a division with young talent. He can work his way up to a Holt or Torres fight, maybe even a Hatton or Malinaggi fight. For now, I think a great fight between two unproven prospects would be Lamont-DHop. Demetrius is no Bernard, but he's still a very good boxer who is starting to be a lil inactive (although he is finally fighting again). I find him and Lamont very similar in many ways, and their careers have been almost identical. This would be the test to see which one deserves the spotlight and which one needs to get over their undeserved deal with major tv networks, or undeserved success over famous relative, and push to advance their career.

Anthony Peterson, baby bro is swimmin in a sea of sharks. Pacquiao is looking for an opponent, but let's be real this fight as much as I'd enjoy it, aint happenin. How bout Julio Diaz? He has no plan to retire soon, and this would be a great comeback/network fight that they could main event. One just coming off of a PPV fight with p4p #1, the other a network regular that has already cohosted main events before. There's also Jose Armando Santa Cruz. This guy schooled Diaz (until he got knocked out), whooped on Edner Cherry, and more or less beat CASAMYOR (not on the scorecards, but did win worst decision of the year)! As lackluster a performance as that was, it still says a lot for a guy that has since gone on to knock out Katsidis and get a ppv fight with a p4p fighter.

Am I the only one that thinks it's time for these guys to at least be fighting B fighters already? Are there any other fighters the Peterson brothers should be fighting instead? Or do you think they should keep on getting paid for these glorified sparring sessions on major boxing networks?

It's time for the brothers to step up in their level of competition, I want to see how good they really are.

They need to fight better opposition. Lamont is looking great right now but Anthony hasn't been impressive to me lately. Its like he is trying to change up his game and box more. He came out being a puncher and he should stick to that. I remember when i first seen Anthony on sho box and he looked like a true hungry champion. He was going up against a fighter name Jermaine White and really tore that ass up. I though he was going to be the next best thing but he hasn't been looking like THAT lately.

Yeah I've noticed that myself! I remember that fight, Anthony came out and blasted him for like 2-3 rounds and dude man quit. Now Anthony aint fightin on the same cards as his bro so much, so I figure maybe they will do their own thing, but instead he's doin a cheap imitation of Lamont. I can't figure these kids out.

Anthony Peterson just beat Javier Juargei (sp), the former IBF lightweight champ. It was a pretty big step up for him. A. Peterson is pretty good. Jury still out on Lamont, but he looks good too.

Yeah, and i remember being upset when Anthony wouldn't go after Jauregui on versus. He had him dazed mid rounds but woldn't up the pressure. That fight was on the undercard of some big fight that night, i completely forgot the main event.

                    ^^^ Clottey-Judah.

I wouldn't take too much for the Jauregui fight, he's a few years past his best.
