From *********:
"After a long reflection and several discussions with business partner Jean Bedard and trainer Stephan Larouche, former WBC super middleweight world champion and InterBox President Eric Lucas (38-7-3, 14 KO) is considering a return to the ring. Before making a final decision, the 37-year-old Lucas plans to undergo medical testing, and to participate in sparring sessions to test his reflexes and physical capacity in combat situations. "I still have the fire inside me to compete," stated Lucas, "and the desire to win. I have been training more seriously now for three months and feel like I am in great shape. If everything goes according to plan, then my return will be for a significant fight."
Lucas hasn't fought since he was destroyed by Mikkel Kessler in 10 rounds in January 2006.
