I just watched the fight and I'm having a pretty hard time figuring out the judges could give that one to Bowe. He was pretty well out boxed. Any of the older boxing fans remember? I was just a kid when this fight happened.

No, there was no outcry for a rematch. Bowe was being fast tracked to a title fight and Tubbs didn't fit what networks envisioned a heavyweight contender to be. This fight was swept under the rug and was almost never discussed during Bowe's subsequent fights. It kind of reminds me of Larry Donald boxing Valuev's ears off with no discussion of a rematch.

Bowe didn't look that good in the fight because he was changing his style a bit, no rematch talk that I know of.

I thought Bowe won close but clear, I haven't watched it in a while though.

Tubbs was knocked out in one round shortly after.
