Is Oscar being a coward or not

i just find it funny that in the past oscar has stepped up and fought alot of more dangerous opponents than margarito. its just weird that he wont take the margarito fight which would be the best bet. how come for his last fight he doesnt want that. is it that he wants to leave the ring as a winner or really feels theres no need to fight margarito. he did say he was gonna fight the winner but probably because he thought cotto was gonna win

IMO Oscar wants to win his last fight, and Mora is a much more straightforward opponent than Margarito, and may very well be more well known to the mainstream public, so it would be a popular fight that Oscar should win. Margarito would be a much more dangerous opponent, though I don't think its that unlikely that Oscar would prevail, because he's a natural 154 guy these days, and Marg always struggles with guys who aren't a good bit smaller than he is. The problem is that IF Marg were to win, it would likely be a late stoppage after brutalising Oscar, and I'm certain ODLH doesn't want to go out like that.

Another thing to consider is Marg himself, at 30, and with his slow but relentless style, he ain't no golden boy and Oscar would get little credit from the masses for beating him, let alone if he loses. Compare this with someone like Cotto, who had he beat Marg would have been a golden boy personified and also Oscar's likely farewll opponent. I wouldn't like to say who would win in a Cotto - Oscar matchup, but should Cotto have taken it Oscar would still have come out with credit for losing to boxing's next big thing, which Tony will never be.

Well DLH has taken on the toughest opposition in the past and he would have taken on Mayweather or Cotto if he had won BUT Margarito and Mayweather threw a wrench in his plan. Everyone including DLH realizes that he wouldnt stand a chance against Margarito therefore the fight is pointless for him. DLH made up his mind a long time ago that he would fight one last fight, but he doesnt have many options left at this point.
