Why hasnt Floyd MAYWEATHER been in a fight of the year?

Boxing is defined as hit and not get hit correct? Mayweather is the best at doing this. He has superb boxing skills. Speed, Agility, Handspeed, everything. I dont understand how Mayweather has yet to be in a fight of the year if he is the best boxer in the world. Help me out here

To be in the fight of the year both opponents must give each other massive troubles and get into a brawl. Mayweather is too smart for both and uses his skills to win easy

Wait. So you are saying fighters like Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier are not smart because they were in fights of the year?

He's been fighter of the year. Most of his wins are one sided, so he gets fighter of the year.

You just answered your own question doofus.

Chances are a dominant fighter will never be in a fight of the year although I give Mayweather vs Gatti - the one sided beatdown of the year award if there was one.

          That was entertainment.

Mayweather vs Chavez was runner-up FOTY, if I'm not mistaken.

He isn't in general, I don't like watching one sided fights. The Mayweather-Castillo I fight was entertaining and was Chavez fight but other than that they have usually been very one sided fights.
