You're talking about recently arrived immigrants from some small town who probably spend 12 hrs a day in the sun not Mexican Americans. Look at Robert Guerrero, Sergio Mora, or Steve Luevano they're all Mexican Americans and have similar skin tones to DLH. Others do have darker skin like Vargas but an actual white Mexican is straight out white with light hair and light colored eyes.

You're an idiot. I didnt realize it was up to Dominicans to define who's Mexican and who's not. I have a lighter skin tone myself does that mean I'm not really Mexican American? There's no such thing as a "full blooded Mexican" by the way, all mexicans are a combination of different backgrounds with each individual having a different mix. The thing all the fighters I mentioned have in common is their Mexican American background and it's no coincidence that they all happen to have lighter skin tones. DLH is mestizo, his father actually has a dark complexion.

The Conquistadores certainly arrived as conquerers and the Spanish empire exploited Mexico just as it did to the Philippines, but unlike in the Philippines, many Spaniards also arrived as settlers who began identifying as Mexican after a few generations. They also intermarried with the Indians creating a mestizo population. When Mexico fought for it's independence, many Mexican patriots of Spanish descent fought alongside their fellow Mexicans of Indian, mestizo (indian/spanish) and zambo (african/spanish) descent.
