    Who's the best Welter?

With all that has happened in the Welterweight Division during the last year or so, who would you say is the best Welterweight fighter right now?

It's hard to put a finger on one fighter and claim that he is undisputedly the best fighter at 147lbs, but let me start this one by saying Tony currently stands above the rest.

logic points to Williams he beat Tony who beat the guy everyone was calling the best formerly. I refuse to even consider Mayweather until he comes out of retirement but if he did I would again have to give him the nod (begrudgingly)

Margarito beat the best welter therefor he is the best right now.

For me, that will be determined when Williams and Margo fight again. Right now, there is no clear "best" WW in MY opinion.

I voted Miguel Cotto as i believe he is still the divisions best fighter regardless of his last fight. That said Margarito is clearly the man to beat right now and deserves the number 1 rating.

Cotto was #1 and Margarito KO'd him decisively. Williams is a close 2nd.

I would say Margarito is the best but I don't think he has the right to claim it until he beats the man that previously defeated him.
