        I hated King before hand, and hate him after reading that book.

          Newfield was a writer and historian like Sugar, but a much better one who didn't rely on schtick nor act like a ****head.

            I find it tough to call Bert Sugar an actual historian.

            Newfield's book about Don King was a brilliant read. I don't think he wrote any other books on boxing, unfortunately.

            He wasn't afraid to speak up on things he felt were unjust.

              He covered Tyson throughout which is why I always use him for a close reference to what was what. You can see some of his interviews with Charlie Rose as well as short clips of him speaking in documentaries about Tyson.

              But he was more than just boxing and covered other fields of interest.
