yeah Roys gotta complex personality, theres gotta be a reason behind it. maybe its so that people think hes past it, so that when he wins they seem bigger and greater.Comment

Well he did say many times throughout his career that he didn't enjoy hurting people, and preferred playing with his opponents throughout 12 to knocking them out. Even after all that **** montell griffin tried to say about the first gift decision (should add that to the robberies thread), jones still said he felt bad about hurting him and embarrassing him cause he knows he has a family and all.Comment

I think its possible, and not at all unlikely. I think the upcoming Calzaghe - Jones fight couldeasily descend into an exhibition match too. Hopefully both guys come in fully committed to destroying the other.I don't know about anyone else but after watching Trinidad vs Jones again I think there was some kind of agreement that niether fighter would embarass the other. I surely think that after Jones put Tito down he could have jumped on him and at least tried to finish him. I rmember saying to myself while I was watching the fight live "Why isn't Jones going for the KO?" and all that BS about the gloves before the fight..Come on wasn't this just a way for Jones to make his career come back to life and tito to do the same? the conversation probably went somet hing like thisComment

If this is true alot of fans are going to be disappointed but who knows could be this way on the out set and a fight might break out any way you know....LeftyComment

i read of a similar agreement in Clay Moyle's book about Sam Langford.
Langford was fighting Jack Blackburn in 1905 - Blackburn had dysentery - neither one wanted to lose the payday - so they danced for four rounds - until the referee declared 'no contest'.Comment
