Mosely vs mayora makes little to no sense

Mosely is ranked top 3 in the WW. Now i know after Judah fell and hurt himself and couldn't fight Mosely he scheduled this fight but I can't help to think with all the other quality opponents out ther at 147 why is he fighting this trash talking idot??? MAyorga has a hard time making weight and in my book Mosely should make quick work of him. if he wanted to fight a tune up after his loss to Cotto and he thought Judah was that fight I see that aas a mistake. Judah is not a tune up fight even though he is a 4 round fighter....Mosely could have gotten a fight with Cintron, Alfonso Gomez, Quintana anybody but this idiot would make more sense unless he is going to try to do it at 154 again..Personally I think he looked the best he has ever looked in years at 147....Lefty

All those other opponents you mentioned lost their last fight. Shane is looking for a good payday to stay busy against an opponent whose style will flatter him. Mayorga delivers better on all of those.

makes a lot of sense if you are a fighter nearing the end of your career and you are looking for a fight that will get you attention and if you win in an exciting fashion, can help you get the fight you want to get. not all fights are going to be strategical legacy wise. now, if Mosley were to fight Mayorga and then another meaningless fight, then criticism should ensue.

The press conferences will be more entertaining than the fight itself. This is a mismatch. Mayorga is beyond washed up...

Both fighters really are near the end of there careers
Mayorga will have fought them all,ODH,Trinidad,Vargas and now Mosley

As much as skill Mayorga lacks, he brings in entertainment value. If it wasn't for crazy ass ****ers like him, there wouldn't be the same amount of fans. Think about it. I mean for the rest, its about the sport and what not, but sometimes you just want to see some **** like Mayorga to run his mouth and get put on his ass once in a while for it.

Not only that, he is a name opponent and will sell tickets. Who else is a name opponent for Mosley? I think people underrate the fact that if Mosley wins, he would beat the man who beat him. It is a bigger moral victory than people give it credit for.

I was up for this fight in 2004. Now, not so much.

If Mosley never fought Wright and Mayorga never fought Spinks, this fight would have been killer.
