i agree, BUT, at the time Hatton was top 10 p4p in most people's opinions

so really he was the best possible opponent Mayweather could have fought at the time (aside from maybe Cotto, i don't remember where he was ranked p4p at the time) on paper

I think the difference in the fight (on my card) was the knockdown. It was a BS knockdown, but it was a punch, and therefore legitimate.

Should Collazo have gotten the rematch that Hatton promised? Yes. Immediately. But Hatton went after Urango and a jurassic JLC.

Yes, this was Hatton second welterweight fight after already winning the title against a legitimate fighter in Luis Collazo who was 26-1-0 at the time.

The first question is why is Mayweather discredited about fighting Hatton when he was a mandatory and if he wanted to continue fighting he had to do his mandatory to continue and he won’t give up his title that he earned and no fighter would have.

Why every say Mayweather is a natural WW when he is a small WW and also a small Jr WW???

Why does do people say Mayweather is a natural WW and Hatton is a real Jr WW when Mayweather started fighting at 130 and Hatton at 135. Woulnd’t it affect Mayweather more moving up all those weights than Hatton??

Why do people say Mayweather was way bigger when he weighed just 2 pounds more??? Is 2 pounds that much of a difference

Why do people say Hatton is reach challenge, when did reached become a huge disadvantages??? Numerous fighters have overcome that.

I hope you can clear my mind up on this issue
First of all, hatton was not the mandatory for Mayweather's title. he wasnt even ranked by any credited boxing source as a Welterweight. Hatton is the naturally bigger man as he walks around at 180 lbs, while PBF walks around at 150.

people will descredit floyd for anything on these boards. And if you really read through some of the posts you will see the majority of the posters bash him and really know nothing about him or his career. For most of them the first time they seen floyd fight was against oscar. Cmonmang being the prime example of this.

I was wrong anyway man. I wasn't diminishing the fight, I just thought he wasn't a mandatory which he actually was. Silencers straightened me out.
