Is Anthony Mundine a credible opponent?

Calzaghe fans who are Kessler only fans say that Mundine was a legitimate title holder and is a very credible opponent. If that is the case so was Hatton at WW, Lockett and Pacman at WW. I don’t see how Mundine is a credible opponent Ottke knocked him out and that guy was the most protected fighter ever,

Firstly, as much as Mundine is a bit of a joke on these boards and understandably so, he is not given the credit he deserves as a fighter. Sure his loss to Ottke is bad but he was very very green at that point and improved a great deal after that loss.

IMO Mundine is a solid name to have on your resume. He is a reasonable fighter, 2 time SMW world champion. The problem for Kessler is that he is his best win, which just isn't good enough to be seen as a top guy IMO. So in short, I do think Mundine is a credible opponent but not credible enough to be a top fighter's best win.

I think he's credible, he's a solid fighter although his recent competition leaves a lot to be desired.

Mundine is a good reasonable fighter but not credible fighter.

It all depends on what you define as 'credible'. I think Baldomir is a credible fighter but if he was Floyd's best win then I would say FLoyd is not a top elite fighter. Do you see what I am saying?

But he wasn’t Mayweather best win that’s the think. A credible opponent is something who has beaten other very good fighter but someone who hasn’t done anything.

Would you say Bruno was a credible opponent for Tyson??? NO
Holyfield and Lewis are credible opponents or undefeated challenger who style is suit to beat you. If Kessler beat Calzaghe he would get tonnes of praise because Calzaghe suit is suited for him

The only person better than him on Pavlik's resume is Taylor.

He's nothing special but he could be a decent world champion.

Read my post. I said IF Baldomir was Floyd's best win I wouldn't regard him to be a top elite fighter. That is what I am saying. Yes Mundine is a credible opponent but no it is not sufficient justification for Kessler being a top elite fighter.
