In which direction will Mikkel Kessler's career head?

Given Mikkel has become a bit of a major talking point of late given all the JoeC **** flying around I thought I would make this thread as it is a topic that interests me a fair bit.

What direction do you think Kessler's career will head in the future? Will he just continue fighting these guys he knows he can beat comfortably and effectively waste his incredible ability or elevate himself into that elite level, break into the top 10 or 5 p4p guys in the sport and become a dominant figure in the future of the SMW/LHW divisions.

Add discussion also, don't just lodge your vote. I am interested to see the path that people think this guy is going to take and what led them to their conclusion.

I can't see many at 168 that would be able to beat him, apart from Calzaghe. And seeing as how Joe plans to retire, I would say Kessler should be on he way up. He needs to get fights with big names though, I can't even remember the name of the last guy he fought and don't really care to. I hope he tries to get the winner of Bute-Andrade to unify titles (Kessler is the WBA champ, right?)

I hope it goes up, the only person I can see beating him is Pavlik and I think he'd beat Pavlik anyway.

It isn't really a question of who he COULD beat in my mind but more one of who he WILL beat.

if he keeps fightin mediocre competition, then he would be going down.

however nowthat he no longer has to protect an undefeated record, he should try the LHW division

Hopefully he sparks that Haussler bum out in a round or two and moves on to fight Froch,Taylor or Bute.

He needs to get his name into the American market though, he has all the tools to make it big with a personal apperance and personality to match.

He has the skills and ability to go up and beat a lot of great fighters, hopefully he won't let the Calzaghe loss get him too down.

Kessler is not looking for greatness he is looking for a mediocre but solid career making less cash without taking huge risks to make the big money

i think this is a sign of the times with Kessler i really do the guy could of fought Miranda but chose to fight Dimitri Sartison for a title when building a profile in America could have pocketed him even more cash in the long run

Americans appreciate Nigel Benn more than Eubank cause they have seen more of him ,Sanderline Williams ,Barkley ,De Witt , McClellan ,Quinones

horrible horrible horrible management. It will go down because his team has no clue what they are doing.

He is already obscure in the US, and he is just drifting further and further away over here

Yeah I have heard some stuff about his managerial setup. What is going on with it?
