Inkin vs. Balsay for WBO SMW-title.

    From *********:

"Another high quality title fight has been added to the September 27 "Universum Champions Night" at the Color Line Arena in Hamburg. WBO #1 ranked Universum super middleweight Karoly Balzsay (19-0, 14 KOs) will face WBO #3 ranked stablemate Denis Inkin (33-0, 24 KOs) in a battle of unbeatens. The bout will be for the WBO interim world title as WBO champion Joe Calzaghe continues to fight outside the division, fighting at light heavyweight on November 8 in New York against Roy Jones Jr.

It will be a huge card for Hamburg fight fans. WBA cruiserweight champion Firat Arslan defends his world title against mandatory challenger Guillermo Jones; heavyweights Vladimir Virchis and Juan Carlos Gomez collide in a WBC eliminator with the winner assured a shot at the winner between Sam Peter and Vitali Klitschko; plus popular WIBF female jr flyweight champion Julia Sahin will defend her world title.

The WBO approved the bout between Balzay and Inkin yesterday. The victor of this stall duel will automatically become WBO world champion if Calzaghe fails to face defend against him. Balzsay, of Hungary, is trained by Fritz Sdunek while Inkin, from Russia, is trained by Magomed Schaburow.

Fritz Sdunek: This is a very close fight, but I think that Karoly has a very good chance. He had greatly matured in his last fight.

Magomed Schaburow: Two hard punchers will face each other, but I hope both will leave the ring healthy and the better man wins. It is in any case a very hard fight for both."

So Inkin ducks Froch yet gets a title shot? Just another example of the WBO being a complete and utter joke.

        I wouldn't call an injurycancellation a duck.

I'm actually surprised that WBO are planning to strip Calzaghe. That'll be a first.

But what about Froch BTW. Has he got an opponent for his WBC titleshot or does anyone know what's in store for him?

I don't think Inkin showed much willingness to fight, put it that way.

Froch is trying to find an opponent for a shot at the WBC title, but its the same old story; he's struggling to to find someone who will step up to the plate.

NOBODY I repeat nobody wants to see her.
She can't fight, she doesn't look good, no reason for anybody to watch her.
And some people say she should've already lost...germany....

Can you guys imagine that we have to watch the "aktuelle sportstudio" between main event and undercard at EVERY universum fight night.
That means watching 1 hour of ****sucking soccer, cycle race and other meaningless kinds of sports with the gayest moderator ever.

With Inkin vs. Balzsay, Virchis vs. Gomez and Arlsan vs. Jones, this is already a great fight card!

And they'll probably add at least one of Universum's up-and-coming stars to the card, someone like Boytsov, Dimitrenko or Alexeev.
