Ha ha. Easy to be confident about a fight that'll never happen Slick, but of everyone I give Dawson the best chance to be the man to beat Joe. Joe's not a real LHW and facing a young fast guy like Dawson while approaching old age is surely a risky idea.

Not only that but Calzaghe would be forced to box with Dawson and he is not as good technically from the outside. If he rushes him and flurries in volume the way he did with Hopkins, then he will be countered as well but with harder punches. Joe would have to pressure smartly. Disappointing to hear Calzaghe say that but I guess I would too - his fans will crow about he beat "legends" like Hopkins and Jones and who cares if those outside the UK disagree? It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Even if he losses to Tarver( which i highly doubt) styles makes fights. Tarver can punch where as Calzaghe doesn't have a punch at this stage. A younger Calzaghe would have a far better chance.

I doubt he will retire, he's said it before. I think he still has a big fight left after Jones. Pavlik, Dawson/Tarver, plenty of options.
