Super middleweight champ Joe Calzaghe says that his upcoming light heavyweight showdown with Roy Jones Jr., scheduled for November 8 at New York's Madison Square Garden, will probably be the final fight of his career. It's funny. Of course I want to see Calzaghe - Pavlik, but on the other hand I kind of think Calzaghe should retire. To be talking about it so much you have to figure it must be time for him to do it. It's true what he says as well, virtually no elite boxers ever retire undefeated and to do so, to pick your time and just do it is a great luxury to have. I'm caught in two minds.

Disappointing to hear Calzaghe say that but I guess I would too - his fans will crow about he beat "legends" like Hopkins and Jones and who cares if those outside the UK disagree? It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
