Rewatched the fight & scored it. 7 rounds for Calzaghe 5 rounds for B-Hop. 114/113 & that's with giving all the close rounds to B-Hop.

B-Hop looked good for the first 4 rounds then gassed, plus the 10th after his break.

not landing on scoring areas doesn't qualify a win...........

hopkins won that fight, hands down.

just look at enzo during the fight, the guy was a frantic mess, because he saw his kid getting beat up.

compubox was a joke and the announcing was a joke too.

again, this fight was hopkins VS the boxing establishment.

Hopkins landed roughly one clean effective punch per round on average. Calzaghe's punches were mostly not clean or effective, but he still landed significantly more clean, effective punches than Hopkins did. And if none of his punches had been clean or effective, Hopkins wouldn't have tired so badly that he had to pretend to be seriously hurt by two phantom low blows in order to avoid a TKO.

That said, I had it 114-113 Calzaghe - i.e. very close.

can this be any more wrong? answer no

hopkins landed 1 punch per round? flat out wrong. calzaghe literally landed 1 clean punch in a couple of the rounds. this can all be verified if you watch the fight closely but you won't.

calzaghe landed more? flat out wrong. hopkins outlanded calzage in at least 7 rounds and a couple of the others were close. once again this can be verified if you watch the fight closely but you won't.

hopkins got tired in the later rounds so calzaghe wins the early rounds? i don't think you are supposed to score early rounds based on things that haven't happened yet. i'm pretty sure you are supposed to score each round based on its own merit. you can make a guy tired just be pressuring him nonstop. you don't have to be landing punches as calzaghe proved but you certainly don't win the rounds until you are able to finally catch up with your opponent and land some leather. calzaghe didn't do that till very late yet you use a scoring system that requires a time machine.

hopkins got tired in the last 4 rounds therefore calzaghe wins the first 8! if we go by your ******ed scoring system bika beat calzaghe because calzaghe was tired in the last 4 rounds.

You don't have a clue what you're talking about. I scored each round live while it was actually happening - and as I'm not psychic, that means it was literally impossible for me to score as if I were using a time machine because I'd have had to have a time machine in order to do so. And I scored it 114-113 to Calzaghe, which was the same score The Ring came up with, and was much closer than the score HBO came up with (they scored it 116-112 Calzaghe.)

you keep using hopkins got tired and faked low blows as your scoring criteria. why would anyone who is trying to legitimately score a fight use this faulty reasoning? each round is scored on its own merit and you don't factor fouls into scoring.

you keep saying how calzaghe's punches must have been effective if it made hopkins tired expect they weren't effective at the time at all. you don't get credit for things that happen later on in the fight. you can't say well hopkins is gonna get tired later so i'm gonna give calzaghe these early rounds even though he's basically doing nothing but missing and getting countered.

isn't harold lederman one of the worst judges ever? he almost always scores for the guy throwing more. alexander-kotelnik, williams-quintana, the guy is terrible. calzaghe-jones on hbo ppv was basically a done deal so they had a conflict of interest in who they wanted to win.
