    It's all ****.
Yet another garbage respone from a garbage poster on this board, who instead of making a strong case for his soo called "BOY" to possibly plead his case, which very well could have been a good one, resorts to childish ways and tries to slander anything that doesn't resemble a Calzaghe victory.

Dude get a grip, and talk about your fighter with class and dignity at least. Instead you use 2-3 sentence remarks with absolutely no facts to base your opinion on. You are a class A bum on this forum, and it's no wonder people on here bash Joe Calzaghe, mind you he is a solid fighter, because of fans like you who only point out the obvious and slam people who try to oppose and put up a good arguement!

See if Great Joe was half the poster you would, he could have simply said something like this. Instead he embarrasses himself by stating small talk, instead of coming up with a legitimate FACT to back up his opinion!!

Teach this clown how to post please!

Calzaghe may have thrown alot of (So called punches) but I didn't see an affective punch thrown by Calzaghe. What I saw was Hopkins landing the harder more meaningful shots while Calzaghe was missing. I tell you one thing, Calzaghe is a problem for anybody. I don't wana disrespect Calzaghe...Its very hard to deal with a fighter who can throw fast slaps from many diffrent angels, especially when the judges are counting them.

Hopkins simply didn't do enough to win the fight, it was frustrating to watch.

I didn't score the fight while watching but though I believe it was close, Joe Calzaghe was properly awarded the decision. He outworked Hopkins and came on strong down the stretch. In fact, if Hopkins hadn't craftily used a low blow as means to rest, he might've fared even worse. I will say this though, an astute writer buddy of mine who rooted heavily for Calzaghe shook his head at the end of the fight. He had scored it a draw.

Whatever the case, I think Calzaghe won. Ironically, the best win of his career is no different than Jermain Taylor's. There is a reason he's decided to keep fighting.

Giampa had the right score, 9 rounds to 3, 116-111.

Edit: there were at leat six rounds you HAD to give Calzaghe. There we NO rounds after the first that you HAD to give to Hopkins.

I just re-watched and scored it again and there was no change to my score.

                      Calzaghe/Hopkins:

                      1.8-10
                      2.9-10
                      3.9-10
                      4.9-10
                      5.10-9
                      6.10-9
                      7.10-9
                      8.10-9
                      9.10-9
                      10.10-9
                      11.10-9
                      12.10-9

115-112 for calzaghe. He seemed to be discouraged by the knockdown for the first four rounds and was barely throwing anything whilst hopkins was landing is right hand whenever he threw it. After round 4 though, Joe started throwing and landing his jab and some solid straight left hands. Hopkins seemed tired after round 7 and i think he went down in round 10 for a breather to be honest. Those who say that calzaghe didn't land any effective punches clearly haven't watched the fight closely. He was landed some clean, effective straight lefts throughout the last 8 rounds, whilst hopkins was doing bugger all.
