Floyd moving up to welterweight is the equivalent of margo moving up to middle.

I think it’s not necessarily where a fighter starts because as we all know fighters will drain themselves to stay at a certain weight. I think it’s how comfortable a fighter is at that weight and how hard or easy it was that make weight. The weight in at the night of the fight also speaks volumes of where the fighter should fight. For example, mayweather has never weight in over 150 on the night of a fight (to my knowledge) on the other hand the top 5 WW have all weight in at or over 155 on the night of the fight. In my opinion I don’t think May or Zab should be fighting at WW.Comment

I agree he is a gym rat I don’t think that’s the only reason. I feel 140 is a better place for his size and I do agree he does have the skill to beat any WW, but most of the fighters at WW right now are really big. Margarito and PW are really big WW, and weight at or over 160 on the night of the fight.Comment

Still, your point is taken regarding Floyd. It's about skill with him and that's why he's been successful through multiple divisions.Comment

Very true he did out class him but I think would have out classes him if he had come in at 180 lol. He also beat Oscar at 154 but he can only get away with it with certain fighters. I wouldn’t want to see May get in the ring with Vernon at 154.Comment
