Wasn't de la Hoya saying that he wouldn't fight Margarito because he's a Mexican and the Mexican fans would turn against him?

Then why is he considering fighting Mexican-American Mora and not Margarito, who was also born in America but is of Mexican descent?

Why isn't Oscar considering Winky Wright or Felix Trinidad or Paul Williams? Because Oscar can only fight one person in the ring that night, and it doesn't have to be Margarita.

I never said he had to fight Margarito, my post supports this statement, you assumed that I insinuated that DLH has to fight Margarito even though I never said that.

What I said is that DLH is contradicting the same logic he is using to dismiss Margarito as a possible opponent by considering a fight with Mora.

          Here's what I don't get:

There isn't a fighter on the face of the Earth with more buzz behind him right now than Antonio Margarito. Not only is he heavily hyped right now, he also was one half of a main event of a PPV that was pretty historic in terms of its performance on PPV.

There's everything there that's needed to make for a monster event, but Oscar refuses to even entertain the notion. It's plain and simple to me: he's scared of Margarito.

              DeLaJoto

Figured DeLaJoto would do something like this. He deserves to go out against a *****assfighter......

On the reals tho, to fight Mora and Not Margarito is a shame and to put it on PPV is a scam. He might as well have fought Dzinzuirk(sp?). Nobody wants to see this ****...

I really hope now that Mora gets his ass handed to him so that DeLaJoto gets screwed again, cause you know he wont fight Mora if he loses his belt

I would rather see Oscar fight Cotto then to see him fight Mora. Mora is a good fighter, however he's not exciting. Isn't Mora Mexican American like Margarito? Oscar is not making any sense. Maybe he should fight Paul Williams.
