Sorry..Joe Greene = Bum, not prospect

Just judging him by this fight....Joe fighting most of his career at 160 and Torres at 147. He didn't even start throwing punches until the 4th when TORRES actually started the fight. His shots were wild, looping, inaccurate. Get him in there with someone with even a modicum of skill and he'd be embarrassed. laughing at this fight going the distance... which I assume it will...2 min left.

No wonder HBO turned him down as an opponent for Pavlik. That would have been a joke.

Bum? No, not even close. If by bum you mean anything less than the highest echelon then that isn't fair.

Dude..he landed 3 solid punches the entire fight against a wild unskilled brawler... Was afraid to even throw a punch until the 4th when Torres started the action...Had nothing to do with Torres being dirty.

I've never really been impressed by Greene, he has power but is too wild and leaves himself much to open to make it to the top.

I think he's a second tier fighter, I don't think he'd be favored over any of the champions right now but he is still a skilled, solid fighter. People tend to think it's either you're Oscar de la Hoya or you're nothing. I think there is a ceiling on where Greene can go but by no means is he a bum.
