"It's not all about money"... FINALLY A BOXER WITH HIGHER PRIORITIES
I see now why Pacquaio is an icon in his country. After Delahoya tried to profit off Pacquaio's legacy he proclaims "It's not all about money"... FINALLY A BOXER WITH HIGHER PRIORITIES. So true Mr. Pacquaio.. RESPECT is the ultimate currency. Why you are the Pound For Pound and People's Champ!!!

Oscar motivated by self gratification and indulgence.
Its what you call a SELL OUT.. a lack of priorities. He is motivated by self gratification and self indulgence.. if it feels good.. do it. Which is why he also got caught in lace and panty hose.

I think the criticism of dlh fighting a much much smaller man got to him so that's why he didn't budge from 70/30 because pac has a decent fanbase and mexicans will tune in to see a mexican beat the mexicutioner.World Boxing Council president Don Jose Sulaiman has praised Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao for deciding not to go through with a planned showdown with “The Golden Boy” Oscar De La Hoya in Las Vegas on December 6. [details]
nah.... oscar is just greedyComment

I'd love to see Manny fight Soto and set up a bout with the winner of Guzman-Campbell. It would be amazing to see him unify at a weight this high up. I'm not as impressed by him moving up 5lbs to fight a fast fading fighter.Comment

Pacquiao-dela Hoya
I 'm glad this farce is over. It doesn’t matter that the cancellation was due to disagreement on the revenue split and not because it was the sensible and righteous thing to do. After all, boxing is still a business and like any business, the bottom line will always be the primary consideration.
On dela Hoya: I have very ambivalent feelings regarding Oscar’s desire for this last go at glory. On the one hand I feel that he should have his last hurrah, his last chance at boxing mega bucks. However, on the other hand, who can he fight? If he fights a top fighter like Margarito, he’ll get a facial makeover. Painful. If he fights a second tier fighter it’ll just be another exhibition match akin to the Steve Forbes fight. Fiasco. Maybe he should just quit. Period.
On Pacquiao: After fighting and defeating the best of the featherweights and super featherweights, he is now poised to clean up the lightweight division. His remarkable showing in the Diaz fight was mesmerizing to say the least, despite the quality of the opposition. The prospect of a Hatton fight is electrifying and so is a Campbell and a Guzman fight,
And when you include the so many good fighters in the Welterweight, Featherweight, and Bantamweight divisions; Man, this is a good time to be a boxing fan.Comment
