I think Dawson will win by either UD or MD. Dawson will have a tough time, but he will win convincingly. You know if Dawson was going to give up his WBC belt he should of given Glen Johnson a rematch instead.

Tarver maybe right about Dawson being a "wounded duck", I just hope he's wrong. Also Tarver beat Johsnon much more convincingly then Dawson did. The winner of this fight will depend on which fighter shows up. We've all seen Tarver and we know what he's capable of. We haven't seen enough of Dawson to know what he's capable of. Dawson has a record of 26-0, in 25 fights he was very consistent and always fought to his potential. His last match against Johnson was the only fight he was inconsistent and at the same time regressed badly. Dawson needs to get back to his original form with improvement in order to beat Tarver. He cannot fight Tarver like he did against Johnson.

Dawson by KO. Too young and too strong for a 40 year old Tarver.

Thats exactly right however if Dawson goes in there looking for the knockout the way he did with Johnson, then he would be putting himself in danger again. I figure he gets his jab working early, get some good body going and slowly start to up the pressure mid to late rounds, similar to the way he did with Adamek but the only difference is that Adamek has excellent condition and is a younger fighter. My pick is Dawson by unanimous decision but it could very well go to a decision in his favor.

Tarver is a young 40 yr old.
Chad Dawson is ovverated. Gary Shaw always overrates his fighter, like when he called Lacy 'the next tyson'.

Johnson hurt Dawson in their last fight and had him shaky at times.

im predictin Tarver KO's Dawson, if it goes the full stretch and Dawson can stay in there. then Dawson close decision

I see what you are saying, but Tarver is not a pressure fighter so Dawson will not be in another one of those high volume fights. Tarver is a sit back counter puncher and will be looking to correct Dawson's mistakes. Dawson made those mistakes with Johnson because it was the first time that he was pressured and he needed to land something to get his respect so he went to ****ing with him. Dawson normally does well in technical boxing matches.

He has lived a hard life hishaam, so I don't think he is a young 40 year old.
