a question about Pavlik v Calzaghe

a question about Pavlik v Calzaghe if Calzaghe beats Jones comfortably and Pavlik beats Hopkins better than what Calzaghe did then Calzaghe will have to fight him IMO the clammer for the fight in those circumstances would be huge and if Joe was to retire in those circumstances it would not leave him in a great light

people would see Pavlik beating Hopkins more decisively and automatically assume he is on the level of Calzaghe and he is a worthy oponent Joe could not duck him in those Circumstances

I think that's about right, so hopefully we'll see the fight. I'm not sure there is ever a 'good' time to retire though, there's always going to be one more fighter out there. After Pavlik, it would likely be Chad Dawson, but since Americans don't actually seem to like him much, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Andre Dirrell. LMAO.

I too envisage the Dawson bandwagon turning its wheels after Joe schools Pavlik.
