I would pick the 70's personally, though if I were to ignore the decade-thing and go for a more exact time, I'd pick 75-85.
Nonetheless, for the thread, I'll stick with the 1970's.
Muhammed Ali, George Foreman, Roberto Duran, Alexis Arguello, Bobby Chacon, Joe Frazier, The Spinks Brothers, Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Marvin Hagler, Aaron Pryor, Wilfred Benitez, Salvador Sanchez, Pipino Cuevas, Carlos Monzon, Larry Holmes, Ruben Olivares...
Even the good/great but not the greatest fighters were INCREDIBLE impressive; Jerry Quarry, Ray Mancini, Carlos Palomino, Ken Norton, Earnie Shavers.. Could go on and on with that list.
What is your take on the decade that you think was the best.
NOTE: I bunched anything before the 1930's, because it's simply unrealistic that most of you have much knowledge of the era, or much proof of what you might know. Even after that in the following decades, the same can be true, however I feel you could make a better arguement for those decades.
