From Marleys site:
Triple-belted world lightweight king Nate Campbell told ******************.com Radio listeners Monday night that someone needs to call the cops.
“This Oscar-Pacquaio fight is a complete travesty,” Campbell told co-hosts Ricardo Lois and John Chavez. “It should be against the law, really.
Campbell, who said he refuses to look past “good opponent” Joan Guzman and their Sept. 13 Biloxi, Ms., title bout, said that he won’t pay a penny to watch the much bigger De La Hoya manhandle Midget Manny.
“I am not going to pay to see that. Maybe I will watch it on a replay,” Campbell said. “I don’t want to be rude or just salty but…how in the world can you take a blown up 112-pounder like Pacquiao, who got stopped twice at that small size, and blow him up to welterweight? And that is a pay-per-view fight?”
As usual, Lois and Chavez egged the outspoken Campbell with one of the Whacko Twins asking Campbell if he would accept a megabout against undefeated middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik.
“Hey, you know if I was getting $10 million, I would be there,” Campbell said.
“I still don’t understand how Manny goes up to fight Oscar and Bernard Hopkins has to go in with a killer like Pavlik.”
There has been severe criticism about the low-key almost nonexistent promotion of the Campbell-Guzman fight but Campbell said he’s not concerned with that.
“I am a prizefighter, not a promoter so I will leave the promoting to the promoters,” Campbell said. “All I know is I am in a good fight against a good fighter. It’s my job to be a boxer. As I keep on winning, the promotions will get bigger because the fights will be bigger.”
