I had just got done driving IBF welterweight champ Simon Brown and his then trainer back to Hartford from Springfield one day back in 1989 from a press conference (we were both on the same show)....I didn't even know who his trainer was back then. I just had him in the pic because he was Simon's guy....small world...

Coincidentally, that pic was taken in the parking lot of the former home gym of Marlon Starling, Simon's cheif rival at 147 at the time. Simon was using the gym while he trained in Hartford and part of the reason for that was to create some controversy for a fight between the two
