During the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, De Jesús became the first Puerto Rican to win an Olympic boxing fight since Daniel Santos earned a Bronze medal at the 1996 Atlanta, Georgia games. De Jesús defeated Brazilian Myke Carvalho by decision during the first round of the competition to achieve that accomplishment. In the second round, however, he lost by one point (23-24), to Sam Rukundo from Ugandan

Please Margarito knocked Cotto out, and down twice or three times. De Jesus is compared to Parnewll Whitaker, but hes still fighting tomamto cans. Hes a Parnell type boxer at Welterweight. One point kept him from a medal.

Edit: well he was the first to win a boxing match still good enough he lost by one point. With the scoring sucking anyway.

And this year is Carlos Negron who won his first fight, maybe Bronze. Even tho he did very good in his fight against Iran.

He has to prove himself, he will. Take a look at his last fight, hes very skillful. Juanma supports him, hes comentator for his fight.

I didnt compare him to Parnell thats his nickname, but anyway you guys are acting like Cottos unstppable, but Margarito ended the pound for pound debate, Cotto is not pound for pound anymore, he defended his belt alot and beat an old Mosley. He defended his Welterweight belt 5 times before losing to Margarito by KO, and his Lightwelterweight belt 6 times, but against who? Hes just a top Welterweight.
