Olympic Boxing Scoring System

Is it me or this year the scoring system is worse than ever???

As far as I know, once the white part of the glove lands... there is a red light that comes up and... if within one second of the light... all 3 judges press the buttom, then the point is awarded.

Then again, I just saw Hu QING from China winning 10-8 on a fight were he was awarded 5 points without a punch been landed. Ridiculous!


And what a botu all those lopsided decisions. Who believes the loser only landed 2-3 punches??? The scoring system sucks!!!

I'd be shocked if in 4 years they were using the same scoring system. The judging is getting more criticism than the Oscar Pac fight.

Jabs and body shots not scoring. This is ****ed up and one of the reasons why many am's find it hard in the pro's where jabs and body shots make the difference. Since this electronic bollocks, more fighters are standing upright and pitty patting to the head. They tried stopping that this year but now decent head snapping jabs and even big right hands are not scoring. Pathetic!

It is very disappointing that I as a hardcore boxing fan, can't even be bothered to watch given that there is next to no boxing in the recent weeks.
