just heard that kessler is to face huassler or someone alike my question is why isn't kessler chasing fights with other big names like lacy, bika, abraham, miranda, manfredo, taylor or even pavlik. those are just fighters that could face him at SMW - kesslers a big guy and could easily make 175 and then he could face - tarver, dawson, hopkins, johnson,
kessler arguably has the beating of every fighter mentioned, yet he hasn't even been linked to a fight with any of these fighters. at least fighters like calzaghe and froch have chased up the fights in america against RJJ and lacy or taylor in froch's case.
but kessler hasn't even been mentioned in the sme breath as any of these fighters - there was period where the miranda name was being bandied about but not anymore. you have to ask why?
- he wants a few more fights to get the loss out of his system
- he needs a few more fights to get the loss out of his system
- he's mentally alot weaker and fragile than i initally thought
imo kessler needs to cash in on the loss he suffered. sounds strange i know but alot of the american audience who watched the fight seemed pretty surprised at the quality that the lad had - it put to shame the so called efforts of fighters like lacy and manfredo.
who knows maybe in time he will face the other fighters iv mentioned but imo he needs to do it now.
in fact kessler could make a case that he is being avoided by these fighters he knows he is dangerous in which case he falls into the the high risk/less reward catgory.
when this happens a fighter sort of becomes stuck in fact his best bet is to for a fight against someone else who is in the same category which is why i think froch and kessler should get it on. both are big SMW's, strong, durable with decent shins and lots of power but like both maragito and williams are being avoided you feel. the margaito/williams fight did wonders for both combatants as it propelled them to bigger things and i thnk that a fight here between these two fellas could have the same effect on their careers.
