I just don't see it. If he is hurt he will grab, lowblow, headbutt and whatever else to avoid being KO'd. He isn't getting stopped.

**** I really want to go to the fight. My 16th birthday is this year, so I'm trying to convince them to get me tickets for the fight hahah.

As for the fight, I going to pick Bhop by UD. Pavlik seemed to get blasted by right hands a lot from Taylor (second fight) and even lockett landed some. Pavlik isn't as fast as Calzaghe was and that's what bothered Bhop. Calzaghe's speed more then work rate. Look at Winky Wright he had agression, but Bernard beat him pretty convincingly imo. Bernard also using his legs and moving around the ring would limit Pavlik's workrate too. Hopkins clinching would limit it too, but Pavlik is strong, so that could be bad. We don't know how Pavlik works in the clinch.

So I'm going to say Bernard UD 12 over Pavlik, but it wouldn't surprise me if Kelly won. Prime Bernard crushes him though.

Pavlik. Hopkins doesn't want it enough any more. Or maybe he does, but his legs don't; can't. He's thirteen years older than thirty. And Pavlik works hard, punches like a mule. It might be a bit of a mess. Hop knows enough to save himself from getting stopped, but he might get busted up and bloodied this time around.

I'm pretty surprised at how many people think Hopkins will win this fight. Obviously a few years ago he would have taken it easily but I just think it has become pretty apparent in his last couple of fights that he can't sustain the punch output for long enough to last with the younger guys anymore. Pavlik will just throw too many punches for Hopkins.

I think Hopkins legs worked pretty well against Calzaghe. His stamina just wasn't there in the last two rounds.

                    edit:

Look at the poll. Only 6 people have picked him. It's only about like 20% of the people and most are either

                    A. Hardcore Hopkins fans (me and some others)

                    B. People who hate pavlik

I agree with this post and think it will play out similar to what you said.Pavlik is just too limited to cause Bhop any problems. His strait forward style of 1-2 1-2 will feed into Hopkins game of movement and countering.Like you said if Lockett can land right hands Hopkins will have a field day.If Pavlik wins I will be very surprised and if he stops Hopkins I will be amazed. He would of been better off losing to Calzaghe who is coming off of a win against Bernard than losing to a 43 soon to be 44 year old vet.
