Why Cant People See Throught Arum's B.S.?

I think alot of people arent reading between the lines. There was the big fight being discussed between Williams & Pavlik but for some reason it didnt come off and now Arum is blaming Haymon for that and using it as a excuse not to fight Williams. I think that Arum is the one who came to Goosen about a Williams-Pavlik fight. Why is that?

His whole plan was to get Williams out of the WW picture and people cant even see that. He knew that Williams was a huge threat to both Margarito & Cotto and he knew that after there fight, people would be calling for them to fight Williams. He figured that a Pavlik fight would interest people but he would kill Williams and then no one would want to see him fight the winner of Margarito-Cotto. Even if they did fight then the winner would kill Williams because Pavlik would have already hurt him so badly.

When the deal couldnt get done then Arum became upset because he knew it would come to what it has, which is everyone demanding a Williams-Margarito fight. Now he's trying to hide behind the beef over Williams not agreeing to fight Pavlik. So what? That happeneds all the time in boxing. Why isnt he benching Pavlik for not getting a fight done with Calzaghe or Mora like he was trying too? You cant blame Williams for not accepting Bob Arum's crappy terms on a fight with Pavlik. Arum is pissed because he just knew that he had everything set. He knew that if he came to Williams with a offer for a big money Pavlik fight then Williams would take it, get killed, and be out of the WW picture. Instead Williams turned it down and said he will wait for the winner and that made Arum furious.

Its funny how he tries to put it on Haymon and stuff when he's on top but let it had been a situation where Williams was the man and either Cotto or Margarito was beneath him. Then I bet he would have no problem trying to make a deal with Williams people then and would be calling them bitches if they didnt make the fight. He's a clown. Again, Im not even a huge Williams fan and I think the fight is 50/50 but this again shows why Arum is the ultimate hypocrite and is the biggest ***** in boxing right now. Im definatly going to vote for ***** but I do respect McCain for trying to clean up boxing and I hope he tries to get back on top of it and get guys like Arum out of the game because he is clearly corrupt. Even if Arum didnt come to them about the Pavlik fight, its still a weak move and there is no doubt he thought he could get rid of Williams and maybe even end his career so that he would be totally out of the picture of his 2 golden boys in Margarito & Cotto

He is also claiming that Margarito-Clottey 2 will be held at Dodger Stadium, which is not only complete bull**** but a horrible idea.

The stadium will be fitted to seat only 35,000 people, but considering Marg-Cotto didnt sell out the MGM grand, theres no way in hell that this much smaller card sells 35,000 seats, despite Julio Cesar Chavez jr. fighting on the undercard.

I actually dont know about that one. Vegas is right next door to L.A. but its still not L.A., so I could see more hispanics turning out this time. On top of that I actually think that Margarito will be this folk hero now in that community and we all know that they have love for the Chavez family. Then you add to that a very good fighter in Clottey who alot of people think may have had a shot last time if it wasnt for the hand injury, so I think it could possibly sell well.

I also think that Arum wants the fight there because he knows that Clottey is tough as hell and he wants all the fans to be in Margarito's corner to give him that huge biased advantage

Yea i just read something DAN RAFAEL wrote and maybe they could sell 30,000 seats if they push it hard.

Cause DONAIRE, who is becoming big amongst Phillipinos, and Martirosan will also beon the undercard. BUt i mean, total those two sell 5,000 tops.

Margarito and CHavez together sell 20,000 tops.

Rafael is right about the fight becomning a big event because of the baseball stadium, so its definetly possible they do 30,000, but it would have to be pushed hard. ANd the first fight wasnt that great a fight

Dan Rafael: You can think what you want and I think there's a good chance the fight will go elsewhere, but I can tell you this: On Wednesday Arum did meet with Dodger Stadium officials and his logistics person was there to do a site survey and to plot out where the ring would be, etc... They would configure the stadium for about 30,000 people with about 2,500 seats on the field. Keep in mind that with Chavez Jr. on the undercard it would draw a lot of Mexican fans. And by putting Donaire on you will draw Filipinos and with Martirosyan on you draw the Armenians from Glendale, who have been very supportive of Martirosyan. If the fight is at Dodger Stadium it becomes an event, not just another fight and there would be a lot more media coverage and interest than normal.

The attendance for this card would depend on the ticket prices. If you price them competively, you'll get a very nice turnout.

Dont get me wrong, I think Arum thinks that both Margarito & Cotto can beat Williams but I also think he feels that Williams can beat both of them and he's the only guy that Arum feels that way about. I dont think Arum is worried about Clottey, Mosley, Zab, Cintron or whoever, but Willliams is the one guy who scares him. I dont even think Arum is worried about Floyd. I think he feels that Floyd is too small to compete with them and even if he did win the it would be ok because it would be for huge money and a loss to Floyd doesnt look bad.

Arum wanted to get rid of Williams because he's the only real challange in his mind and if Williams won then where would they be? If they fought now and Williams won then where are Cotto & Margarito? There still good top notch fighters but there aura is completely gone and they wont be seen as super special. Williams will have twice beat the guy who KO Cotto and was seen as Mr. Invincable. Even if Cotto had won and then he lost to Williams, how would that look? Williams has now beat both Cotto & Margarito. Thats why Arum is pissed and the sad part is that the fans and media are so biased towarfs hispanic fighters that they'll probably get away with it. Atleast for a long time they will and I know they will hope that someone knocks Williams off in the process

Because they hate Mayweather. Bottom Line. It has nothing to do with him yet they bring him up.
