How come every time there is a debate between boxing vs mma on T.V The guy

I love boxing & I love MMA but there is the group of hater idiots that always want to compare the 2. Boxing is boxing. MMA is MMA. No one constantly tries to compare Football to Hockey against each other. They are 2 different sports.

How could they call boxing fake, they can't be serious. Boxing in the long run seems more dangerous if you ask me, because of the longer rounds and fact that you have stay on your feet against your opponent.

Dana White has has consistently branded the UFC by criticizing Boxing. He is basically converting fans by providing the aspect of which attracts fans to combat sports which is excitement. He's never called it fake, but just boring and uneventful.

"Why watch two "boxers" dance around in the ring for 45 minutes, when you can see 2 fighters actually fight."

The "brand" of UFC is excitement, excitement, excitement. It convinces to most ignorant and uneducated that what happens in the octagon is the highest level of combat. You could also say that UFC is a perfect representation of the current state of society, a society that wants action and entertainment now and immediately. Why else do you think that Dana White and some UFC stars constantly bring up Floyd Mayweather Jr when comparing excitement between the 2 en******?

MMA as a whole does not put down boxing, the UFC and Dana White are the ones that put down boxing. It's common knowledge that Dana White tried his hand first at boxing and failed. The guy has a chip on his shoulder and takes every opportunity to put down the sport of boxing.

It's not quite that drastic, they're both combat sports. Boxing however focusing on one specific aspect of one on one fighting and MMA attempts to encompass all ranges of one on one fighting. Boxing is used by nearly all MMA competitors.
