First fight should be a tune up fight. Get back his confidence putting him in with a hard puncher who actually has a good chance at beating him wouldn't be a good idea.

I believe he should then chase the WBC belt, defend it a couple of times and challenge Margarito for a rematch and unification match.

Thinking about it I would personally be gunning for Berto, the WBC is a more prestigious belt than the WBA which Margarito holds. Berto seems to be an easy enough opponent for Cotto unless he develops. Having the WBC belt would bring back some of his old aura and draw in more money for his fights.

i doubt Cintron would knock out Cotto, All he has is a punch

i think cotto would lose a rematch with Marg again, styles make fights and Marg just has Cottos number lol.
still think that cotto would have a better chance of beating PBF than Marg

No Cintron wouldn't be a good warm up fight, when coming off a loss like Cotto did you don't step in the ring with a ranker. You fight a tune up fight get your confidence back and check that everything is up together.

You don't step in the ring with another shark. After a tune up fight, yeah it would be good for the two to fight one another, though I think Cotto would come out the winner. Fighting him straight after a brutal fall from the top wouldn't be a wise move.

I think Cotto could win a rematch, as in reality he did well for half of the fight he just ran out of gas. If he works on his stamina and indurance he could take it. The problem is Margarito may have beat fear into him, it's hard to beat someone who intimidates you.

that was the point of my post.

he's what 5'7? he should be able to make 140 if he wanted.

i think it's best for cotto to clean up 140 and challenge the occasional 147 champion. when he gets a bit older he can jump to 147 but go to 140 while he still can. all it takes is a diet change and he should make the weight no problem.

holt is nothing special. plus he has business with torres to handle.

None of the fights you named would not be easy for Cotto. He needs to ease back in and if I was him Id seperate myself from Arum.
