Kelly Pavlik's Goal is To Knock Bernard Hopkins Out

One of the major goals at the top of Kelly Pavlik's list when he steps in the ring on October 18 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City - is to knock Bernard Hopkins out. Hopkins has never been stopped in his 55 pro-fights, and has not tasted the canvas since 1994. [details]

He can KO Hopkins.. Pavlik has superior conditioning and will never stop attacking Bernard until round 12.. He may hold and hit all we wants but he will fade away late.

It could happen, but I don't think it will. Hopkins one tough cookie to KO.

I think Pavlik could wear Hopkins down, especially if he can stop him running backwards and taking breathers. Pavlik definitely has the power to trouble anyone.

Even if Hopkins was bashed up and exhausted towards the end of the fight i think he just knows too much to be stopped, he knows how to smother and roll with shots, chins always low and rarely gets caught with a clean shot that he doesnt anticipate

Probably could, he's used up his 'low blow' cop-out card against Calzaghe. Dude was tredding water at the end of that fight.

It only happens if Hops is completely fatigued. Could happen.

What's the deal? I don't understand how the "Calzaghe bunch"/HOP HATERS didn't give HOP a chance at winning against Calzaghe, yet Joe won by a sad SD. NOW its Pavlik fighting HOP and I notice a lot if not ALL are saying just the opposite. That Grandpa HOP will WIN? Interesting?

                    Either,

                    A. They want Hop to win so Calzaghe wouldnt take a chance and be forced to fight PAV since he lost a fight.

                    B. They are just overly biased as always.

                    C. There PAV HATERS

                    D. All the above

I'm going to go with "D". Calzaghe won a SD due to his "WORK RATE" plain and simple. What Pavlik said about having a goal of a KO win over HOP is certainly a BIG one, but remember all the JOEY FANS/HATERS talking about AGE and bla bla bla, well Pav is a lot younger and has a HIGHER work rate compared to HOP. Why wouldn't PAV be able to do the same?

I'm not saying PAV is as good of a "BOXER" as Joe but why wouldn't anyone give PAV a chance especially the people that BASED The HOP CALZAGHE fight all on age and work rate? Joe ONLY won because he played "TAG" with HOP and touched him more to win that poor and close SD. He actually "TOUCHED" B-HOP more than anyone has for what its worth (Joe Calzaghe would be awesome in Olympic boxing, he would out touch everyone and be super duper awesomely rad)!!!!

                    Craziness..........
