I've always wondered how it must feel to be knocked out. That moment where you're hit and the lights go out and your legs go spastic...
Well, I guess I sort of had a moment today which is probably the closest I'll ever get to finding out (I have never boxed...but want to...but have dodgy weak shoulders and a kinda handsome face)
I'd eaten practically nothing all day and had a nap, thinking I'd have a pizza blow-out at night. As I woke up from my nap, I leapt up to turn the alarm which was (deliberately) situated at the other side of the room...but I got up too fast.
I got one of those ****ing headrushes, so I closed my eyes and waited for it to pass, except....something weird happen.
I opened my eyes to see myself falling...in slow motion...
This headrush was not gonna pass.
So...I'm falling, and I'm sorta of laughing, cos I can see it happening, but I can't prevent it. Actually, my perception of the whole thing was kinda warped, it was like all fuzzy and dreamlike.
Anyway, I'm falling and my rib hits the side of the bed, pretty hard. And yet, I'm still laughing because of the surrealness of it all. That moment when I started to fall down...
it was like being on a crazy drug trip...or being punched by Tommy Hearns. For the sake of this thread, I'm gonna go with the latter.
Has anyone ever been knocked down/out? What IS it actually like? If my recollection of today above sort of makes sense...is it anything like that? That empty, fuzzy feeling inside your head?

I've actually had one and woken up on the ground with a bump on my head. They can get pretty serious. And no, I do not believe that's what it feels like to get knocked out at all. Getting knocked out is more like being so ****in dizzy you have no idea where you are and your mind can't communicate with your legs. It's like you are 2 seperate halves and your legs are doing one thing, while your mind is on auto pilot and you can't focus your eyes or anything. But I wouldn't know, I'm just guessing
