the most insecure unhappy fighters talk the most **** in the build-up to the fight

e.g. Tyson, Mayweather, Mayorga, Naseem Hamed etc

compare with

Hatton, Lennox Lewis, Oscar, Sugar Shane, Cotto

the latter group all seem content and comfortable in their own skin, the former group try to pretend they're something they're not and front a lot and put out a false image of who they are. They long for respect whilst the latter group already have it for being good guys

I completely agree. I don't think Mayorga is frontin though. The guy is genuinely a badass.

maybe, its difficult to tell since he speaks another language but I'm sure he's not like that in his own home with his family, perhaps he feels intimidated by other boxers and feels he has to talk them down/clown them

as I say, I find it difficult to gauge his character as he speaks in a foreign tongue, but he is entertaining, just like all those guys Tyson/Hamed/Mayweather etc
