Anyone see the Smith Wolak fight?

I saw this on Showbox last night and I screaming at the TV...Keep your guard up roll your shoulder...watch for the uppercut. I saw this Wolak kid taking these upper cuts that were so telegraphed they were landing over and over again and again...I was thinking to myself 21-0 and he can't dodge a punch he is getting hit with the same punch over and over and over...what the f is corner telling him why is he paying them??....He comes in too square keeps his hand too far apart...He is slow and has little to no powwer. I was still watching and after about 7 rounds I was red in the face spitting yelling and my wife was telling why don't you just shut it off hun???

Wolak's record is comparable to Albert Sosnowski's, which explains his futility against Ishe Smith.

I understand your point but it still doesn't answer my question on how you could get hit with the same punch over and over and over and not have you corner tell you watch for his left. Smith one the fight with his left hand. He may have well have been a one armed fighter last night.

If you saw his fights before, you would know why....I was at both the Browning and Smith fights and he's just a guy that bulls forward like Ricky Hatton would without accurate punching....

All along it was clear that Wolak was tailor-made for Smith's style. Smith is a hesitant counter-puncher and against a guy taking all of the initiative with no pop on his shots or defense, Smith looked great. Wolak is a regional ticket-seller in NY/NJ so his team had been trying to build him up very carefully. He was properly exposed though by Smith.

The guy on the poster Antonio Espinoza, I've known him since I was 12.

Well, neither of them seemed to be very good. I like Bernabe Concepcion though, and Andre Dirrell looks decent. Not too sure about Danny Jacobs.

Wolak was damn lucky that Ishe doesn't punch with much power.
