If they build up Juanma the right way, a fight with him and Izzy could be the biggest ever for that weight class.

i dont believe the roach hype he is just average and all his fighters seem to be losing lately

ya. Honestly Roach didn't train Vazquez even for the first fight with Marquez. He just showed up at the last minute. literally. (he was training Oscar) Vazquez left him because of that. But no, it's not true about Vazquez slurring his words. It's unfortunate roach said something like that. But he does not speak spanish. And israel speaks broken english, which shouldn't be misunderstood as slurring.

and just to prove that he is not slurring. He was the commentator for the Jhonny Gonzalez fight the other week. And is currently in Miami, where he will be covering the Olympic boxing for Telemundo. =) So, if he was slurring... I'm sure he wouldn't be getting gigs on tv for commentating.

despite Roach saying something like that, Israel holds no ill feelings towards him.

I'm pretty sure everyone who watches boxing like Israel Vazquez. I have never heard anything negative said about him. He really won me over with the Gonzalez win and has been gaining more respect and appreciation with each Marquez fight. I hope he gets some easy fights so he doesn't die in the next year.

I dont know how many of you guys saw the "Vazquez/Marquez All Access" clips. they were just 5 minutes episodes shown on Showtime. Ill post them up later, but they can give you an idea of how humble and down to earth Izzy is. Dude lives in a regular neighborhood in an unassuming house with his family.
