  • Lamon Brewster's Return Show Features Pryor Jr, Holloway

CINCINNATI, OH--The city of Cincinnati, Ohio has a rich boxing history. From Aaron "The Hawk" Pryor to former heavyweight champions Ezzard Charles and Tony "TNT" Tubbs, pugilism is deeply ingrained in the Cincinnati cloth. [details]

More tripe than a pork butcher shop

This article, by BOXING BUZZARD tells us that Lamon Brewster is beginning his "drive" to regain his title. These few words alone, tell us of the spurious nature of this so-called report, which is purely a PR BUMPFH by the Buzzard, who is noted for such dubious reports, and who seems to "write to order", regardless of the facts.

Lamon Brewster was lucky beyond words to get the decision over Klitschko, who was hammering him into the ring floor, defended against a couple of heavyweight nonen******, and then. when he met a "healthy" Klitschko again, was given as tremendous beating as in the first fight, so that he had to quit on his stool. Lamon's days are OVER and he should have, for his health's sake, retired agfter the massacre by Klitschko. I wish him well.

Actually, this is the first time I'd ever heard of Boxing Buzz. How can a newly formed entity be known for anything? Your first mistake.

2, lucky to get a decision? Umm, that was scored as a fifth round TKO.

3, as you say "healthy" Klitschko (but use the term again even though you said earlier that Klitschko was not healthy the first time, so am I to assume you are correcting yourself and saying Klitschko was healthy?), couldn't you also use the same logic considering that it was Brewster's first fight coming off an eye injury?

      Is English your first language?

Brewster may be past it. I'd like to see him do well and regain a HW belt but I can't see him stampin himself as the man in the division.

ERBAD- ( Are you any relative of SINBAD, I wonder?) Don't make things worse, I don't see why I should have to educate you. You obviously know little of boxing and it's contributors, so I'll leave you to wallow in your ignorance. Just be assured that the fact that YOU haven't heard of someone, doesn't mean the end of the world.....just that you haven't been around boxing very long, or prefer to watch TV rather than read. You ould have your own reason for THAT !

The Buzzard did all the crappy promo for the Sam Peter camp for a while, and churned out the sloppiest drek you could ever read-that is, if you could ever read. He had a name like Andy VivelaFrance, and eventually entwined himself onto the executive of a boxing web page. He's been quiet for a while (probably the period during which you learned to read BoxingScene letters) and this could be a "comeback".

          1) What makes you SO SURE that the Buzzard is a "newly formed entity"??? because you've never heard of him??.....I wonder. It's obvious to everybody except you that I'VE heard of him. And exchanged many missives ( letters, to you) with him. Strangely, he doesn't like me....

          2) Klitschko-Brewster 1 was not a KO it was a TKO. But there were many facets reminiscent of Harold Johnson's "poisoned Orange". I don't suppose you know who Harold Johnson is....The whole boxing world does, but don't feel bad about it. I'll give you a little hint..."Julio Mederos".

I'm going to ignore #3, since it's patently obvious that you're imitating a cat scurrying around, chasing it's tail. You obviously don't know WHAT you mean. And I don't either.....

As for Brewstwer's lay-off for 14 months, this really was a good thing for him. A detached retina repair doesn't require more than half that time. But after the 2 such tremendous beatings he got from Krasniqui and Lyakhovitch, he NEEDED this rest, As we know, it did him no good, he was still the same "punching Bag" against Klitschko, like a poor relation..."good at taking, bad at giving". He NEEDED to retire after Lyakhovitch. He still does. He has nothing left. Of course he could still knock over the same crew of half stiff "stiffs" that Sam Peter used, to build up his reputation for ferocity. But..........

No, English is not my first language. it's my second... Can't you tell?? my first consisted of " Mama, Dada" etc. You may have been able to speak this language yourself at one time-that is, if you had a normal babyhood??....... And I speak 4 more indifferently well. I wonder why you ask. Perhaps my English is "too English" for you?? I can lower the comprehension level if you desire. Anything to please.......Wellll ALMOST anything.

            Edgarg offers abject apology.

Folks, I have to eat "crow" (actually Buzzard) I've found that my former "sore spot" was NOT Boxing Buzz, but another with a somewhat similiar (although not identical) name, and I relied too much on my memory. I'll be more careful in future- not too much, especially when the script is flowing well, but more careful.
