i dont blame pac at all for taking the fight anybody would and i also hope he beats delahoya. that would be some funny ****.but in reality delahoya was young and grew to the weight he is now and has the body for it. roy jones fought a subpar heavyweight in ruiz.
manny has already moved up in weight, what did he start out as 112 or some **** and he is 29 i think he is just about as big as he needs to be.

      Margarito is a Bum

Paul " The Punisher" Williams is the only fight, that Margarito should be worried about, unless he decides to award Miguel Cotto a rematch. For some of you so called boxing fans, I hope you can remember bums like, Rodney Jones and Daniel Santos handing Margarito an ass whipping. I would ask you'll to reach back into your memory bank to the first round of the Margarito vs Santos fight when Santos "Hurt Margarito". Margarito, is a puncher. However, he is not a boxer. Whenever he fights a "Boxer" he struggles. Uh, Paul Williams is a boxer. That's why Williams won there fight. Margarito knows that if he fights Williams, its going to be a long night. A fight with De La Hoya is a fight that Margarito would win. He cannot BEAT Paul Williams. To all of you who says Floyd Mayweather is a ducker, I hope you hold "Margarito" to the same standards, because, this isn't a case of running from Williams, he's sprinting!

Marg will have to fight him in due time to unify the divishion williams just needs to wait like Marg did for so many years.
first of all, understand the logic behind that decision, bcuz, i was wondering why he passed on that cotto fight the first time to fight williams too..........

i think they were only offering margo like 800k to fight cotto, or some **** like that. PLUS he'd have to vacate his belt bcuz williams was his mandatory.........

SO, margarito said **** that, and fought his mandatory which he made more money fighting than he would have had he taken the cotto fight. ALSO, margarito figured he'd win, hang on to his belt, then go after cotto, thinking he would receive a better offer if he still had his belt.......problem was, paul had other plans.......................

so it aint like margarito was like "poor paul" and gave him a "shot" as you call it. margarito was making a BUSINESS decision, assuming he'd beat williams, hang on to his belt, get cotto after that, and be in a position to ask for more money....................

Didn't Cotto have a belt at the time? So what was the difference between facing his mandatory or winning a new belt and fighting a much more proven name. Cotto would have been an easier fight for him back then and Margarito would likely have kept his decade + winning streak at WW alive.

Margarito already fought Williams, so how is he ducking him. If he(Williams) already beat Margarito, why dwell on it? go after someone else.
You should be saying Williams is #1 welterweight and needs to fight the other top welterweights....not someone he already beat.

But dont worry this fight will end up happening....and Margarito may lose again but, so? Margarito wont retire undefeated and neither will Williams, let all the top welterweights get in the mix. You win some, and you lose some.

Goosen is offering Margarito a GUARANTEED 4 mill or 50% of the revenue, which ever is higher.

              Thanks for clearing that up.

I always thought the reason why he fought williams was because all of the smack he was talking about how he schooled Marg in sparring and that he would beat him easily. Also the fact that no one would fight williams and being Marg is Mucho Machezmo stepped up when no one else would. It makes more sense at the time to fight Cotto (bigger name, belt) Im not sure bout the money though but i would think he would have gotten more for fighting cotto since he was a pretty big name, bigger then willams anyway.

Williams' obvious preference is a rematch with WBA titlist Antonio Margarito whom he beat last summer by unanimous decision. But so far, tall Paul, who stands 6'1" with an 82' reach, hasn't been able to get Margarito's attention. Instead Margarito keeps calling out Oscar De La Hoya's name. But Williams says that's not a match that the people or real boxing fans want to see. [details]
LOL, this dude has to annoy the **** outta Margarito. Damn, fight the guy already!
