I think Mosley saying Margarito is the best "mean" in terms of he is the "Hottest" WW out there at the moment, I mean the guy destroyed Cotto in devastating fashion which means more people would want to fight him NOW.

When people like Mosley didnt want to fight Margarito in the past it was because a fight with Margarito wouldnt generate interest or good money, Now that he has establish himself with a great win over cotto people like Mosley wouldnt hesitate in getting in the ring with him.

Now, Williams deserves the shot more but id rather see Marg v Mosley which would be a great fight, and one Shane has a real shot at winning! Cotto could have won if he wasnt too damn proud to clinch (something i luv about him but it hurts him), sometimes u gotta tie a guy like Marg up and Sugar would do that when he had too.

But hasnt margarito lost 5 fights. So i dont consider him the best at WW. He beat Cotto on the night so was the better man that night. ANother day Cotto might beat him. Cotto was doing well at times in the fight but must messed it up a bit at the end.

Mosley, who turns 37 on Sept. 7, faces Ricardo Mayorga on Sept. 27 but already is lobbying for a shot at WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito.

“I go after the best fighter. It doesn’t matter who it is,” Mosley said. “When Mayweather (Floyd Mayweather Jr.) was on top before he retired, I wanted Mayweather. Margarito is the best welterweight out there right now, so I want Margarito.

“I love the challenge. I’ve always been that way, wanted to be the best. So if he’s the best fighter, I’m going after him.”

I can understand how Mosley would rather fight Margarito than a freak beast like Paul Williams. And is that the same Mosley that was sure Oscar would beat Floyd?

News flash homie Oscar should have won that fight if Floyd would have fought and gave the people what they all paid for. Mosely is correct right now Margarito is the hottest WW in the division. No one wants to see 6'2 Paul "The Freak" Williams beat up on much smaller men like Mosely at 5'9. I mean nothing is better then watching Paul Williams beat up on Shamba Mitchell 5'7, Santos Pakau 5'9, Carlos Quintana 5'9, Walter Dario Matthysse 5'9, Sergio Rios 5'10 I mean even when he fought Margarito he towered over him. Why don't Paul Williams fight somone his own size. i would like to see him move up to Middle Weight or even Junior Middle Wieght and fight guys like Pavlik or Dawson Taylor etc......

As much as i love Mosley, he does not deserve a shot at Margarito. If the Marg/Clottey rematch goes ahead, Williams could look at Cintron or possibly Shane. The winners of each then should face off in 2009. Williams will not be staying at Welter any longer and the only threat in the division is a rematch with Margarito. That is the only fight worth staying there for.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Shane/Cotto rematch.
