    Cintron signs with Dibella..........

New York promoter Lou DiBella is beefing up his stable of fighters, signing two former titleholders and reaching an agreement with a light heavyweight contender.

I think he is still revelent. I mean he only lost to Margarito. No shame in that. Look at Forrest, he lost twice to Mayorga and he has had a great career.

This guy could be a force still. A little defense and better footwork and more boxing he could be very good.

His power is incredible, all you need todo is add a little something of this and that and tell him to stop crying and man up he'll be very good.

Maybe he tries to be the star at 154 or tries 147 one last time. I think he should try 147 with a new trainer if it doesn't work, i'd tell him to hit 154.

That's a good point, although it will be harder for Cintron to get to the top of the welterweight division being that it is one of the toughest division's in boxing in my opinion.
Could he win a title again? It's possible, but I really don't see it happening with the current welterweight champions out there.

Cintron won't find any more success at welterweight. After being crushed by Margarito, he may not have the fortitude to fight at that weight any longer. At 154, he would fight right in the picture. You got Mora, Forrest, Verno, and that Sergei Dzinzin...guy. He can compete with all of those guys.

The question is, is Dibella willing to invest enough money in Cintron to get him a title, or is he going to be used as a high priced opponent like Judah. Cintron is what he is, which is a huge puncher who doesn't know how to defend against attacks or utilize his ridiculous reach advantages. He is still exciting and I personally feel he put up the best possible challenge to Margarito he could, it just wasn't enough.

I feel that with a little bit of improved defence, Cintron could do a real number at 154. I'd pick him over Spinks and Phillips (at THIS point in time), I wouldn't pick him over Oscar, but Oscar is retired come December 7th. I'd take him over Mora/Forrest, I'd take him over Alcine, I wouldn't take him over Santos, but I would take him over Dzindziruk. (Sp?) Dzindziruk (I'll just stop trying to spell that) is a good boxer, and pretty clearly outboxed Santos and knocked him down, but he hasn't look great recently and has NO interest in fighting top guys it would seem.
