    Calzaghe-Jones November 8

    Thursday, August 7 2008

Joe Calzaghe vs. Roy Jones has been officially rescheduled for November 8 at the Mecca of Boxing, Madison Square Garden in New York City. The superfight, originally scheduled for September 20, was postponed due to an injury suffered by Calzaghe during training. Calzaghe vs. Jones, presented by Square Ring, Inc. and Calzaghe Promotions in association with Madison Square Garden, will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View.

I would have thought it would be rescheduled to a later date than that but oh well.

          don't lie to me man!!

If Calzaghe/Jones turns out to be boring they should just unleash Crazy Kim on the both of thems, just keep Kim in a small steel cage ringside and feed him raw meat prior to the fight to get him ready just in case

            Agree...

Actually there is a good chance that most of the upcoming PPV and championship fights are duds...

Marquez/Casamayor.... eek two counterpunchers... granted Marquez lets his hands go more often.

Guzman/Campbell... Guzman can cruise if he just potshots like he did with Soto.

Peter/Vitali... good chance that it gets canceled due to injuries.

Pavlik/Hopkins.... Old Man Poppy has to make it ugly for him to have a chance to win

Pacman/Oscar... expected mismatch with an early KO likely.

This year will suck compared to last year when he was an unbelievable amount of great fights.

He'll spit on the floor during the press conference again, doing his crazy ass rituals unless they give this man a title shot. But he might do some more crazy ****, I dunno man.

I don't really mind calzaghe/jones too much just not for PPV. Some of those fights, Hopkins/Pav, Guzman/Campbell and Marquez/Casamayor are also very interesting fights to me, but none of those deserve to be PPV, which makes them suck (except for guz/campbell on showtime).

I feel like 2008 has been great so far, but waaaaaay too many PPV's. If I could remember I'd like to make a thread comparing all the top fights of last year to this year, and also list which events were PPV. HBO PPV had like 6 events last year, I think they are close to 10 already if not more.
