Shouldn't Margarito be calling out Floyd right now?

Taking those 2 points into account, how is floyd beating margarito going to make him a top 50 WW???
If you don't think Floyd is one of the 50 best WW's of all time then I can do nothing for you.

If he fight's the guy that Floyd avoided at all cost, then its very possible. Why do u think he's looking for a fight with Pacman?

Because he's smart. I can't think of a single good reason for ODLH to take a fight with Margarito.

Secondly, your last statement doesn't apply in every situation. Holyfield lost to Lennox Lewis and to Rid**** Bowe. Lennox is top 50 and Bowe is not. My point being is that multiple fighters can share a victory of a common opponent and be regarded historically in completely different manners.
although i don't necessarily agree with your ranking, this was a good post and it saved me the time of having to go through this

Hmmm? Maybe because he said he wanted the winner of Cotto/Marg. Dont know about u, but where im from, when a man gives his word, he's usually held to it.

Don't know about you, but where I'm from he said he was "looking" at the Marg/Cotto winner. Just like he was looking at Mora, Pac, and I think Trinidad was even mentioned. I don't believe the man ever said he would fight the winner of Cotto/Marg.

Oh and here ya go. Before the fight between Cotto/Marg even took place ODLH said he would not fight Margarito. Now explain how he's going back on his word???

i think marg should call out floyd. Whats the worst that could happen. If floyd says no then floyd would look like a *****. If he says yes then we would have a hell of a fight.

the talent and skills are there, but the resume isn't... he's only had 4 fights at WW. 1 fight against Margarito isn't going to magically put him in the top 50. If Margarito was lineal/unified/undisputed WW champ with atleast 5 solid defenses of his lineal/unified/undisputed championship then I'd say yes defeating Margarito would make floyd a top 50 all-time WW maybe even top 30 all-time WW champ.

let's be realistic here. A win over margarito is a good win but it doesn't make anyone an all-time great (ask Williams and Santos)
