By Jake Donovan - There are two new additions to the DiBella Entertainment stable, with a possible third one on the way. Boxingscene.com’ Editor-in-Chief Rick Reeno received that former welterweight titlist Kermit Cintron and current light heavyweight contender Shaun George have signed with the New York-based promotional company.

The breaking news was confirmed by promoter Lou DiBella prior to his club show Wednesday evening at BB King Blues Club in New York City.

Exactly, with that logic Cotto is a gatekeeper at 147 and should move up. Kermit has the equalizer which is 1 punch KO power and I would give him a good shot to beat Berto and some of the other top contenders. If he can carry his power up to 154 he would improve his chances of getting a title, but he is hardly a gatekeeper at welter.

This logic is flawed and old. it is left over from when everyone thought margarito was really nobody... turns out nobody who was somebody wanted to fight him, and for good reason. Margarito was a WW champion for years, but was always on the outside looking in. Margarito's win over Cotto surely raised Cintron's stock. Is he a flawed fighter? Yes, but now everyone, with the exception of wont-fight-anyone-too-tough floyd, has a flawed record. Zab Judah can be called a gatekeeper, cintron is still young in his boxing career.

He is, that doesn't mean he can't sign with other promoters.

To me Cintron is the BIG wild card at WW.
I too believe he needs new trainers...other than Manuel Steward who has not gotten this young man in the frame of mind to BOX and not ****.
He really needs to use his jab more...he doesnt throw enough jabs and his head movement is non-existant.
Cintron needs a LOT more experience but his power is silly.
I believe he could beat most of the guys at WW RIGHT NOW especially BERTO who would get killed by almost any top tier WW at this point.
