He basically said that he was more prepared for that fight than he was for any other. He stated that Margarito was just better on that night. He has no excuses. He said that his health and his family are more important than anything and that is why he decided to take the knee.

Miguel said that he has many years and fights in him left. He is only 27 years old......

He stated that he does party and drink, but that is completely seperate from his training time and does not occur when he is preparing for a fight.

His corner will not change... he does not blame anyone for his defeat... If anyone was at fault it was everyone in his team, there is no one person at fault.

Much respect to Cotto, I know that he will be back. His confidence does not seem to have been effected much, but we will not know until he steps in the ring. Cotto has always seemed to be one of the most mature fighters out there which will allow him to accept defeat in a manner less effecting than a young and immature fighter who's confidence was through the roof.

Good. Hopefully he'll be back in the ring soon. I still enjoy watching him fight. And it won't be long b4 Margarito loses that belt to Paul Williams.
