Thats what I was trying to get at for the longest. I agree...A fight with Oscar sets up bigger and better fish...but the point I was stressing is that some of the poster on here blasted Mayweather for doing the samething that Margorito is trying to do and poster give Margorito a pass..Not saying you but others on here made a big deal about! Again...I dont have a problem with Margorito fighting Oscar but I better not here a fan try to make a difference between Mayweather and Margorito! Fair is fair!

First let me say that i'd rather see Marg fight Williams. Second, there's really no double standard in regards to the whole Floyd fighting Oscar vs Marg fighting Oscar situation. Reason why? Although the diehard fans had rather see Floyd face one of the top ww's instead of Oscar for thier first fight, there was still some interest of how Floyd would deal with bigger man/veteran such as Oscar. The REAL flaming came when Floyd was trying to score a rematch with Oscar. We all know damn well that there was no reason for a rematch, besided the fact that it was a business deal for both fighters. Thier first fight was bland at best, and despite the so-called sd, there was nothing that us fans saw in that first fight that created a desire to want to see a rematch.

Marg on the other hand, has never fought Oscar, and is looking for the same recognition that Floyd seeked in his first fight with Oscar. Now although i rather see Marg take on Williams next, i have no problem with him fighting Oscar before years end, due to the fact that Goosen has already went on the record to say that a fight between Williams and Margarito wont be possible till early 09 anyway.

So why not have Marg fight Oscar in Dec, then face Williams in March?
