Vernon Forrest: "Loss To Mora Was Overtraining, Not Age"

Vernon Forrest faded badly in the second half of his fight with Sergio Mora on June 7th at the Mohegan Sun Casino. Forrest lost his WBC Super Welterweight title to his younger challenger and by the end of the fight he looked every minute of his 37 years. [details]

Overtraining? Haha. Why did he look so out of shape then? Forrest is done. Mora beats him again in the rematch.

"He got old overnight" isn't an axiom, it's just a saying, born out by the performances of fighters who actually ARE old, and who are overdue for a bad night out.

Being shot caused he loss to mora...If He loses again he should just retire cause he won't have a rematch with mora if he doesn't own a belt....Once mosley knocked out mayorga he will be looking to bounce back against forrest!

my theory on getting old is that just like when your young you have nights where you just feel out of it, if you play sports you know what im talking about, but as you get older your chances of having an off night is way more likely.

we all know forrest is a good fighter and he should beat mora it just depends on how he is fight night.
